Armaseam Roof System
Armaseam is a standing seam metal roof system based on the tried and tested principle of zip-up roofing. It is virtually maintenance free, totally weatherproof with no penetrative fixings and will provide exceptional performance over the extended life of the building.
Individual panels are rollformed from continuous strip coil to any required length and then mechanically seamed together onto secretly fixed clips. The result is an integral roof covering that has no joints or end laps and makes rainwater penetration virtually impossible.
Armaseam panels are available in standard widths of 300mm and 400mm and can be supplied in different metal gauges to suit load spans and site conditions. Seam height is standard at 65mm.
The panels are fixed onto special fixing clips or "halters". Once the fixing clip set out is complete, the panels are laid. Each panel engages with it's neighbour and the top roll is mechanically seamed or`zipped` to create a completely watertight skin.

The Armaseam panel is complemented by a range of special components and accessories.
All components and fasteners are non-ferrous to reduce corrosion risk and increase life expectancy. The halter clips are produced in either extruded aluminium, or injection moulded polymer.
Forrest Maughan was the first company to design and develop a non-metallic halter clip, in 1996. The injection moulding design was proven to be superior to cut metal clips in accommodating thermal movement in long panels. After extensive testing by the Dutch Airport Authority, it was used on the terminal extension at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.
